Bottom Line

Jesus frees us from the myth of scarcity with the truth of God’s abundance.

“The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eyes are unhealthy, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!
“No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.
Matthew 6:22-24

A Healthy (Generous) Eye = An Abundance Mindset

An Unhealthy (Stingy) Eye = A Scarcity Mindset

Key Question - Will there be enough?

How do you see and relate to the world?

How we see determines who we serve.

What you hold onto can have a hold on you.

What you possess can pull on you and up enslaving you.

Action Steps

Prayer - Create some space with Jesus to prayerfully reflect on the following:‍

• How do I have a scarcity or abundance mindset?
• What is pulling on you?  What owns you?  
• How might Jesus be inviting you live differently?

Practice:

• The Give It Away Challenge - Select one thing you’ve become attached to and give it away this week.
• Revamp Your Budget - Rework your budget to reflect giving first and living second.
